Natural light portrait

Enviornmental Portrait

This picture was taken on the Russain River near Santa Rosa, California. The individaul in this photo is a steelhead (fish) freak and spends as much time on the river as he can. He works for The Fly Shop in Redding, California as a guide and retail salesman. Fishing for steelhead is his biggest passion, so that's why I used this photo for the enviornmental portion of this assignment.

Assignment 3

This photo was taken when my father and I where clay pigeon shooting at my home in Hardin, Montana. I've seen photos like this before in gun journals and magazines and always thought it would be fun to take one myself. I believe this photo portrays shape, mainly because of the two shot shells in the barrels. Both are the exact same size and are perfectly side by side.

Assignment 3

This photo represents emphasis because most of the photo is one color (white), and with the duck feet being a bright orange, they naturally stand out. Thus providing a focal point. I'm pretty sure everyone knows where I shot this photo!!

Assignment 3

Texture is the main visual element in this photo. The glass surrounding the frames is a smooth and glassy surface, where as, the frame itself is a rough and hard surface.

Assignment 3

At first glance this picture is "trippy." At least for me! It displays rhythm, because all three windows are lined up with eachother and are evenly spaced.
